You may or may not know this, but one of my biggest inspirations in wedding photography is Jasmine Star. She is an amazingly talented wedding photographer who has a fabulous blog where she addresses all types of questions that other photographers have for her. During the past year, she started to do weekly video segments answering her fan’s questions from Facebook. Needless to say, I have watched all of them multiple times. These video posts of hers are even more helpful to me than her regular blog posts. And then it hit me, there are just some things that are better conveyed in video format than in written explanations.
So after seeing my umteenth bride have problems getting into her wedding dress, I decided to venture into the land of vlogging (video blogging) as well. My very first vlog is on how to get into a wedding dress and how long that process takes depending on the style of your wedding dress. I think that posting about a topic like this in a video medium, rather than textually, should help brides and their mothers/attendants in a pinch. Sometimes seeing how someone does something is just so much more powerful than reading about it. So in the future, I will try to vlog instead of blog, when appropriate.
