While Jessica and Daniel had met each other years before in high school, they didn’t really get to know each other until Daniel joined the armed services. Daniel asked his mom if he knew anyone who might want to be his pen pal, she said she knew a person at church she thought would be willing to do that. Little did Daniel’s mom know that she was inadvertently playing cupid. Jessica happily became Daniel’s pen pal. Letters turned into long chats on skype, and then chats on skype made the incredible transition to a proposal. The army allowed Daniel a mid tour leave from Korea and the date was set. It was so great to see young love.
