How Fucci’s Photos came to be

On Christmas morning my husband, mother, and mother-in-law all seemed to be thinking on the same wavelength. Amazingly, none of them had discussed their gifts with each other. My mother-in-law got me a speed-lite, my mom got me The Complete Guide to Professional Wedding Photography, and my husband got me a new image stabilization lens and a wireless remote control for my camera. At the end of the morning my husband brought out one last present. I opened it up and it was a leather portfolio with a little brass engraving on it that said Fucci’s Photos, LLC. I just thought it was something to store my pictures in. He said “Go ahead and open it.” I unzipped it and inside were all the incorporation papers and a tax ID. Totally perplexed, I said, “Um, what is this?” My husband said, “It’s your dream. Your own company. Fucci’s Photos is real. Now it’s up to you to make it happen.” At this point I was in tears. I was so touched. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to have a husband to come up with such an amazingly sweet present. So soon after that I purchased FuccisPhotos.com, created the website, read the book my mom gave me, and then placed an add on craigslist. Within a few days, we had our first jobs lined up. And the rest, as they say, is history.
