This was the first Sangeet Garba I had ever attended. It was incredible. The performances made me feel like I was watching a Bollywood movie. The three highlights of the night were definitely watching Reshama’s face light up as Amol arrived in his limo, and the dance numbers to Jai Ho and an original piece by Amol’s friends entitled “I want a love marriage.”
I also learned what a small world it is. Reshama’s maid of honor turned out randomly to be my lab partner back in college. It was great to catch up with her.
